We had a wonderful time celebrating Seachtain na Gaeilge in our school last week. The week began with a Comórtas Ealaíne, where the children showcased their creativity through beautiful artwork. They also enjoyed taking part in a whole-school Tráth na gCeist and a lively Céilí, bringing great energy and fun to the celebrations.
Our pupils proudly created fantastic signs as Gaeilge for the local butcher shop, highlighting their growing confidence in using the language in the community. We rounded off the week with our popular ‘Siopa Gaeilge’, where children exchanged their well-earned points for speaking Irish throughout the week.
The winners of the art competition, along with our Gaeilgeoirí na Seachtaine, were announced at our assembly on Friday. It was a joyful and memorable week for everyone involved.
